Kevin and I bought a new horse recently and I call him Bentley. I'm totally loving this horse. He has such an awesome personally and he has been so patient with me as I play trainer with him. I've been working him at least twice a week in an arena, and his mind is like a sponge. So far he's learned to spin to his right (still working on the left), he knows his leads, he'll do simple lead changes, roll backs, and he's developing an awesome slide stop. I'm really focusing on training him to be a pleasure horse and I'm trying to figure out how to get him to slow his jog down and drop his head at the trot.
He was in his first competition last weekend, when we competed with the Hobble Creek riding club. He did his 1st drill routine, poles, barrels, and a few other random events. I miss Dollar, but I haven't had this much fun on a horse since I was riding my childhood horse, Crystal.
